The following 90-minute workshops are all original, custom workshops developed by LHK Insight. They work well as stand-alone workshops, or can be delivered as a series. Many of the workshops are expandable to a half-day format for an interactive deeper dive into the subject matter. In addition, we are happy to customize a workshop for your team based around the topic of your choice.
Key Elements of Success
What are the key attributes of the most successful people in business and/or life? How many of those attributes do you have? This workshop features a panel of successful leaders describing their paths to success, the challenges they faced, and how they overcame obstacles. After each panelist describes their trajectory, the session is open to Q&A from workshop attendees. Each participant leaves the workshop with at least three success qualities to focus on and practical tools to use in that process.
Developing a Growth Mindset
Carol Dweck, a world-renowned researcher and psychologist from Stanford University, has dedicated a body of research to the benefits of a growth mindset. She argues that the single quality separating successful people from unsuccessful people is whether they think their intelligence and abilities are "fixed" or can be "grown". People with a growth mindset almost without fail work harder and reach higher levels of achievement. In this workshop, we learn the differences between growth and fixed mindsets using real world examples and focus on ways to develop a growth mindset.
Defining True Leadership
True leaders inspire others to want to be on their team, not because they get paid for it, but because they are truly inspired by the leader. Research shows that most successful leaders in life have five critical strengths in common. During this workshop, participants explore what it means to be an authentic leader and how to develop those critical leadership strengths. We explore where we each are on the leadership spectrum and work through team exercises to reveal which traits we still need to develop.
Discovering & Using Your Strengths
We all have a unique set of strengths that we can draw upon to increase our productivity, overcome challenges and increase our satisfaction at work and at home. Understanding our strengths is vital to being able to fully utilize them. There are many tools used to identify strengths - in this workshop, we focus on VIA character strengths which help us discover our top 5 signature strengths and next 5 supporting strengths. Each participant takes a short assessment which we will discuss thoroughly during the workshop as we develop takeaway tools to put our strengths to use.
Embracing Stress: Good, Bad & Ugly
Stress is inevitable in our lives, especially as we juggle the many competing demands of work and home. In this workshop, we learn to embrace stress and work with it. We will explore the following:
- The basic biology of stress
- Learn how stress impacts performance and health
- Come away with natural, science-based techniques and tools to use
Delivering Effective Feedback
The ever-present millenials crave feedback. Yet most managers are loathe to provide effective, timely feedback. Research shows that one of the best ways to help employees thrive is to give them authentic feedback. The manner and approach used when giving performance feedback is important and can make a significant impact. In this workshop, we will explore how to make your feedback truly constructive, giving your team the tools to be even more powerful and productive.
